Samantha Yetter, LMSW, joins the work of private practice, bringing with her eight years of valuable experience as a school social worker for the Rochester City School District. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of working with children from elementary to high school, finding a particular connection in working with teenagers. Her work in the school setting has equipped her to understand and address a range of challenges, including behavioral issues, anxiety, peer relationships, stress, and grief.
Expanding her expertise, Samantha has a special passion for supporting women and addressing women’s issues. She understands the complexities of relationship struggles, life transitions, postpartum challenges, and parenting. Being a parent herself, she empathizes with these experiences, offering compassionate guidance to help clients navigate their own paths. In her practice, Samantha prioritizes creating a warm and welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable being their authentic selves. She is dedicated to fostering a safe space where clients feel validated and can allow themselves to be vulnerable, and free from judgment or criticism. Samantha has undergone specialized training focused on the LGBTQ+ community, as well as supporting teenagers who are experiencing suicidal thoughts. Additionally, her extensive training in TIG Trauma-Informed care equips her to assist those who have faced trauma, illness, or grief—either directly or in their loved ones.
Samantha earned her Bachelor’s degree from Nazareth College and completed her Master’s in Social Work at the University at Buffalo.
