About Me


Linda Harris has 26 years’ experience working with children, teens and families as an effective counselor. She is warm and welcoming. Clients enjoy her understanding and practical style.


Linda has a keen sense for engaging with children and teens. She involves parents so maximize therapeutic outcomes. Parents find her to offer many tools and resources for parenting.


During her career, she has managed to improve the emotional stability and happiness of adults suffering from depression, anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, social anxiety, trauma, domestic violence, self-esteem issues, grief & loss, and relationship and marital issues.


Linda has a rich career at a large comprehensive local human service agency spending a good portion of her time in a community-based preventive service program, foster care and adoption services. She also worked at Alternative for Battered Women.


Her training and awards include Certified MAPP trainer which provides training and preparation for fostering and adopting. She is trained and utilizes successfully Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She provided therapy services to children and families affected by sexual abuse as well. She has training in Emotional Freedom Techniques, EFT. She is the Founder and Primary Therapist for Hope House Counseling Services in Webster, NY, a volunteer project. Linda is the recipient of the Dottie Harrison Award, an award presented for excellence and dedication in working with clients receiving preventive services. in 2005.


She graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with an MSW, later obtained her License in Clinical Social Work with an “R” number awarding her the right to accept insurances.
