Elijah Lorah is a Licensed Master Social Worker and graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Social Work. He has worked in outpatient community mental health, supporting a diverse caseload with a wide range of needs. His work has included supporting individuals navigating serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), trauma, grief, chronic pain, life transitions, depression, anxiety, and interpersonal challenges.
Elijah finds it especially meaningful to work with clients who want to process trauma, explore interpersonal stressors, adapt to life adjustments, or deepen their curiosity about psychology and the human experience. He views therapy as a safe and supportive space to face the most difficult parts of life at a pace that feels manageable and restorative. For Elijah, there is inspiration in those who endure great challenges yet continue to hold hope for themselves and their loved ones. His own life experiences have strengthened his belief in the power of honest conversation to create new possibilities for growth, healing, and fulfillment.
Outside of his clinical work, Elijah enjoys writing and composing music with friends, hiking, watching movies, and spending time with loved ones. He welcomes humor and curiosity into the therapy room, believing they are important companions on the path toward healing and self-discovery.
