Heather Burgio, LMSW is a compassionate and experienced mental health therapist dedicated to creating a judgment-free space where clients feel safe, seen, and heard. With over 15 years in the field, Heather has worked in various clinical settings—as a therapist, mobile crisis coordinator and responder, and social work aide. Her background also includes six years of working with individuals affected by domestic violence, as well as several years in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. These experiences have shaped her trauma-informed approach and deep understanding of the complex challenges people face.
Heather is especially passionate about supporting those navigating anxiety, relationship issues, parenting challenges, and the lasting impact of domestic violence. Her work is grounded in the belief that therapy should be a collaborative and empowering journey. Inspired by her own personal growth, Heather finds great fulfillment in walking alongside her clients as they discover their strength, heal from past wounds, and begin to live fuller, more meaningful lives.
She holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Keuka College and a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Nazareth College. Known for her warmth, empathy, and authenticity, Heather brings a steady, grounding presence to her sessions and is committed to helping each client feel truly supported as they navigate life’s challenges.
