What Our Clients Are Saying

Leonela Stull
They are very compassionate, they listen and try to match you up with someone within the group suitable to your needs. It only took an email and I was called the next day, had an appointment the following week. They are so amazing that my daughter will be going here as well. I was referred by a psychiatrist and I have never felt such consideration and openly welcome embrace to help those who are seeking help. I have nothing but great things to say!
Nikki Rose
This is a great place for counseling, the staff are very friendly and flexible with my schedule, sometimes have to do virtual appointments when things come up and no issues, the waiting room is beautiful and relaxing and I love my therapist Crystal, she's exactly who I was hoping to work with, thank you!!
Aimee Ruscio
Brooke is an amazing therapist for my son. Like an angel sent from above. So down to earth, listens well and so in tune with his feelings.
Jena Caramazza
A wonderful practice to find healing and growth as well as support and validation. Thankful beyond words and always always recommending.
Jim Spurgeon

What Child Therapy Can Do for Your Family

Children and teens grow best when they feel balanced: able to manage stress, build connections, explore safely, and develop problem-solving skills. Sometimes, kids struggle with emotions, behaviors, or school challenges that make this balance harder to achieve.

Therapy helps children and adolescents:

  • Develop coping skills for stress, sadness, or anger
  • Build confidence in social situations and friendships
  • Improve focus and attention without becoming “stuck”
  • Express emotions in healthy, problem-solving ways
  • Strengthen family communication and relationships
  • Handle challenges such as bullying, school struggles, or family transitions

When to Consider Counseling for Your Child or Teen

Every child has ups and downs. But therapy may help if your child’s emotions or behaviors are:

  • More frequent, intense, or long-lasting than peers their age
  • Creating difficulties at school, home, or in friendships
  • Limiting their ability to adapt and use healthy coping strategies
  • Shrinking their variety of responses to stressors

If you’ve answered “yes” to these concerns, meeting with a professional can help you find clarity and support.

Evidence-Based Therapies Tailored for Kids and Teens

Our clinicians use proven approaches designed specifically for children and adolescents, including:

  • Play Therapy – helping younger children express feelings and practice new skills through play
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – teaching kids to challenge unhelpful thoughts that fuel anxiety, depression, or behavior issues
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – equipping teens with tools to manage intense emotions and improve relationships
  • Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) – strengthening parent–child bonds and improving behavior management
  • Family Therapy – supporting healthier communication and problem-solving at home
  • Art & Creative Therapies – offering safe ways to express trauma, grief, or emotions kids can’t put into words

Each plan is tailored to your child’s age, developmental stage, and unique needs

What to Expect During Your First Session

Your child’s first visit (the intake session) is about connection and understanding. The therapist will:

  • Learn about your child’s behaviors, emotions, and social life
  • Explore how concerns show up at school, home, and with peers
  • Ask about your child’s strengths, hobbies, and best qualities
  • Discuss family history, values, and routines
  • Begin setting goals together for therapy

Parents are usually involved in the first session and may be asked to complete questionnaires. A diagnosis may be made if required by insurance, but this is simply a tool to guide care—not a label your child carries forever.

Helping Your Child Get the Most from Therapy

Parents and caregivers are vital to the success of therapy. You can support your child by:

  • Attending sessions regularly and arriving on time
  • Reinforcing therapy skills at home, most change happens outside the therapy room
  • Staying in communication with your child’s therapist
  • Framing therapy positively (“to help you feel calmer” vs. “to fix your ADHD”)

Together, we build momentum for lasting change.
