About Me
Maya Sykes is an LMSW with foundational training in Functional Family Therapy and experience with the adolescent and geriatric populations. She values relationships and works to heal trauma and find understanding through a person-centered and trauma-informed perspective.
In her previous roles, Maya spent time as a family therapist in the community, worked in an inpatient psychiatry unit, and provided support as a middle school social worker. She is trained in both Safe Zone and TIG (Trauma, Illness, and Grief). She is excited to continue to support the Rochester community.
