My name is Jody Mykins, LMHC. Mental Health Counseling is a second career for me, and I believe it is what I am meant to do. I focus on guiding individuals with mental health concerns through their journey of recovery and self-discovery. Providing a safe space to begin to process the issues clients are confronting, I believe that each person coordinates their process based on their goals and needs. My role is to accept and see each person as an individual, instead of a list of diagnoses or symptoms.
A large part of my experience has been with individuals seeking recovery from chemical and sexual addictions, individuals with complex trauma, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, and depression. Recently I have enjoyed working with children, working through ADHD and behavioral issues.
I have a pup who is often in the office with me, Kilo, and she is always available to offer comfort and snuggles.
