Jeff Young is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State.
He earned his Masters of Social Work from The University of Buffalo in 1991.
Since then Jeff has kept up to date with professional training in mental health therapy and business management.
Over 20 years of private practice, Jeff has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and couples.

Private Practice Therapist in Canandaigua, NY, Since 2010.
Conducted a Part-Time Private Practice in Caledonia for 10 years, 1996 – 2006.
Mental Health Therapist at Unity/St. Mary’s Mental Health organized with 25 other therapist/NPs/psychiatrists, since 2005. During this time I was also a Psychiatric Assignment Officer at St. Mary’s Psychiatric Emergency Room.
Worked in Waiver Program, SPOA Team Member and NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) liaison and trainer to parents with children who have mental health issues, since 1999.
Clients come looking for hope and relief from stress and emotional pain. Jeff has had over 50 clients return for therapy with me because successful outcomes during the first counseling sessions. They learn that the counseling process is ultimately rewarding. Parents bring their children and teens because of anxiety, depression, reactions to divorce, other losses such as the death of a parent or of a friend. Frequently there are behavioral issues at home and/or at school. For parents, at times need help navigating parenting your teen. Adults come in due to marital stress, financial troubles, transitions in life, affairs, significant mental health issues. Many people desire to bring their spiritual life into the session and Jeff is very comfortable and experience with that if requested.
Personally
Jeff Young has been married for 27 years and has 4 wonderful children. The first three are biological and the youngest was adopted from China. Jeff’s wife works at a child advocacy group, advocating for children’s and teen’s public policy and legislation at the city, county & state levels. Jeff enjoys being actively involved at his church.
