Hi! I’m Gloria Zukoski, LCSW. I have been working in the helping field for 13 years. When I began my career in the helping field, I worked with children with developmental disabilities in a school setting; then moved to a residential placement for adults with developmental disabilities. During my master’s program, I started working more with children and families impacted by mental health and found my passion. I have since had experience in community-based, residential, healthcare, school, and outpatient clinic settings. I work mostly with people ages 5-35 diagnosed with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, perinatal/women’s health issues.
I have found it is best to take an eclectic approach to therapy. I believe that developing a positive relationship with clients is the most important piece of the therapeutic puzzle. Humor is my favorite therapeutic intervention. I also use psychoeducation, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and supportive techniques into treatment.
When I’m not in session, I enjoy spending time with my many animals on my small farm and in my garden. I also have a need to release creative energy through coloring, crocheting, and crafting which we may do together during session! In the future, I hope to be able to hold sessions at the farm and use animal assisted interventions.
Thank you for your continued support!
