About Me

Cloie Schessl, LCSW, is a dedicated mental health professional with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development and Health Science from SUNY Oswego and a Master of Social Work degree from Roberts Wesleyan College. Cloie provides individual therapy to adolescent and adult clients, bringing experience from various treatment settings, including outpatient therapy, community mental health, private practice, inpatient psychiatry, and educational environments. She enjoys working with clients looking for faith-based counseling as well as providing grief and career counseling.

Cloie's clinical expertise includes a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem, anger management, adjustment concerns, life transitions, bullying, grief, trauma, family conflict, and parenting. She believes that establishing a solid foundation of trust within the therapeutic relationship is essential for clients to feel safe and comfortable discussing their concerns. Considering the needs of each client, she uses approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed Care, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. She is also trained in the Foundational Safe and Sound Protocol, which focuses on nervous system regulation as part of treatment. Cloie is committed to creating a warm and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore the areas of their lives they wish to change and address both past and present challenges.

In her personal life, Cloie enjoys taking walks with her dogs, reading, playing pickleball, and spending quality time watching movies with family and friends.
