My name is Casey Ann Bardanis, and I am a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) with clinical experience in an all-ages outpatient clinic, where I work with clients ranging from children to seniors. The individuals I have supported have faced challenges such as trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, OCD, personality disorders, and self-harming behaviors, along with various other mental health issues. In addition to my private practice, I am involved in a day treatment program that helps children navigate difficult behaviors and develop their self-awareness. Helping young people learn positive coping skills, how to communicate their needs, and better understand their emotions and behaviors has been incredibly rewarding.
As a licensed Creative Arts Therapist, I incorporate art prompts, materials, and interventions to guide clients' therapeutic journeys. For those who prefer alternative approaches, I also provide play therapy as well as traditional talk therapy. In my sessions, I use trauma-informed CBT and use a solution-focused approach. to ensure each client's treatment plan is tailored to their unique needs. I firmly believe in the transformative effects therapy can have, particularly through art therapy, which often helps individuals connect with their authentic selves and view life as a continuous journey.
In my spare time, I enjoy indulging in many hobbies. I knit, paint, read extensively, watch thrilling horror films, upcycle old furniture, have coffee with friends, and aim to spend as much time outdoors as possible—especially during the summer when I can relax by the lake!
