Hello there! I’m Anna Doerr, LMSW, and I’m here to offer support and understanding on your unique journey. Whether you’re a child, teen, or young adult navigating challenges like anxiety, depression, self-harm, sexual abuse, post-traumatic stress, peer relationships, or other difficult situations, I’m here to help.
With a diverse background in therapy across different fields, I bring a wealth of experience to create a safe and inclusive space for healing. I’ve worked with various populations, including individuals dealing with persistent mental illness and substance use disorders in group and residential settings and most recently, working with middle school students.
In my practice, I draw from therapeutic approaches like CBT, MBCT, person-centered, and trauma-focused therapy. Therapy, to me, is a blend of essential components that foster an environment for growth and healing. I deeply value the trust and connection it takes to embark on the therapeutic journey, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share in the challenges and triumphs alongside my clients.
Having sought mental health support myself at different points in life, I understand the profound impact it can have. I’ve witnessed the transformative power of healing, and it’s an honor when someone decides to trust me with their own process. My goal is to create a welcoming space where, during our sessions, you feel heard, supported, sometimes challenged, and always less alone.
On a lighter note, a few fun facts about me: I have a passion for art, writing, collaging, and video editing. My notebooks are often filled with doodles in the margins. Soccer is another love of mine and I continue to play post college! At home, my fiancé and I share our lives with two dogs, Lou and Watson. I’m excited about the possibility of walking alongside you on your own therapy journey.
