Andrea Woodard is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over nine years of experience in mental health and addiction services, and more than two decades in human services. She finds fulfillment in working with a wide variety of clients, helping each person uncover their personal truth and empowering them to realize they can make lasting change. Andrea believes that “my patient is the expert in their life. They already have their own solutions, but don’t trust themselves enough to use them.”
Drawing from her own background as a first responder, Andrea has a special passion for supporting first responders, as well as adolescents, members of the LGBTQ community, individuals navigating anxiety, recovery from addiction, racial identity concerns, and survivors of domestic violence. With adolescents, she encourages caregiver involvement for the greatest success.
Andrea takes a holistic approach to counseling, blending evidence-based practices with creative and body-based methods. She is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from the Beck Institute with a specialty focus on hoarding, and she also incorporates sound therapy, the mammalian dive reflex, yoga, and dance into sessions. Energetic and deeply compassionate, Andrea meets clients where they are, providing a safe space where they feel respected, understood, and empowered to move forward.
