Alexis Lyons is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and graduate of St. John Fisher College. She works with children, teens, and young adults navigating a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), executive functioning difficulties, life transitions, friendship and relationship concerns, and stress management. She also enjoys helping children and teens develop social skills and build confidence in their daily lives.
Alexis believes that one of the most important parts of therapy is the connection between therapist and client. She values building strong, genuine relationships and understands that feeling comfortable with your therapist is often the foundation for meaningful growth. Her approach is conversational, laid-back, and authentic. Rather than presenting herself as a perfectly polished professional, Alexis prefers to show up as her genuine self and create a space where clients feel comfortable doing the same.
She enjoys working with clients who are open to exploring their experiences, processing challenges together, and engaging in honest conversations. Alexis often incorporates humor when appropriate and strives to create a welcoming environment where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to work toward their goals.
Outside of the therapy room, Alexis enjoys learning new hobbies, including crocheting, watching YouTube and reality television, and playing video games.
