About Me

Meet Abigail (Abby) Knowlton, LMSW, a compassionate clinician committed to fostering positive change in her clients' lives. Abby understands that emotional regulation can be particularly challenging during stressful times, and works with clients to develop important skills to navigate these difficulties. She specializes in building interpersonal and emotion regulation skills, particularly with those who have experienced trauma, are going through pregnancy/postpartum, and who are struggling with processing and expressing their emotions in a healthy way. Abby also has extensive experience supporting individuals through life transitions, relationship challenges, depression, and anxiety.

Creating a safe and non-judgmental space is at the heart of Abby's therapeutic approach, which prioritizes compassion and a person-centered methodology. She feels honored to support those seeking assistance and values the opportunity to help them express themselves in a productive way. Abby's journey in this field began with her work at a Veteran’s Crisis line, providing crucial mental health support and connecting individuals with vital resources. She later expanded her experience at a clinic, providing individual counseling and group therapy to adults navigating a range of challenges.

Abby received her Master’s of Social Work at the University of Buffalo. She holds a certificate in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). When she's not working, she enjoys reading, hiking, skiing, playing volleyball, and spending cherished moments with her husband, daughter, and their beloved one-eyed Bernese Mountain Dog, Winky.
