Our Story
It Began With A Vision For High Quality, Affordable Mental Health Services
In 2016 Jeff Young, LCSW, founded Victor Counseling Practice (now Renew Hope and Healing) with the vision of creating a new landscape for outpatient mental health, where individuals and the community are stronger to give and receive love. He saw a need for mental health care in the Victor, NY community that was personalized, accessible, and, most importantly, effective.
Jeff wanted this practice not only to help clients, but also to support therapists. Jeff wanted to reduce clinician burnout by offering mental health therapists the support they needed to thrive. Drastically reducing their administrative workload to allow them to focus on what they do best: helping their clients.
Jeff Young, LCSW on why he started Renew:
"A new landscape of outpatient mental health, where individuals and the community are stronger to give and receive love"
Renew is a locally owned and operated business with the world-class experience that would be expected of a national brand. We are deeply rooted in the greater Rochester area community, with a vision to impact the mental health and wellbeing of people across New York State.
Since our humble beginning with three therapists in a small Victor, NY office space, Renew has grown to a network of 100 therapists in four locations (Victor, Henrietta, Pittsford, Penfield) and telehealth. This large, diverse network can meet the therapy needs of individual, couples, children, adolescents, and families. Our therapist’s wide range of specialties and modalities enable wholistic mental health care.
