Tara Gaffney, LMHC
About Me

Tara Gaffney is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a graduate of SUNY Brockport. She has been working as a full-time therapist for the past three years, supporting clients through a variety of challenges, including anxiety, ADHD, depression, and life transitions.
Tara enjoys working with individuals who are open to growth and willing to try new approaches in their journey toward feeling better. She views life as a continuous journey and believes that challenges are opportunities for learning and personal development. For Tara, therapy is a supportive path through those challenges—helping clients build insight, resilience, and meaningful change.
Her approach is highly client-focused, emphasizing collaboration and empowerment. Tara sees her clients as the drivers of their own mental health journey, while she serves as a guide—helping map out the path forward and navigate obstacles along the way. Her goal is to support each individual in becoming the best version of themselves.
Outside of her work, Tara values spending time with her family and enjoys traveling with her husband and friends. She finds balance and relaxation through being outdoors, reading, and staying active.
