Abbey Williamson is a Licensed Master Social Worker and a graduate of SUNY Brockport. She has experience providing therapy in both outpatient and residential settings and enjoys working with a broad range of ages. She approaches therapy with curiosity, compassion, and collaboration, meeting clients where they are and supporting them in building insight, skills, and confidence.
Abbey is especially passionate about working with neurodiverse clients and strives to create a therapy space where individuals feel comfortable being fully themselves, without fear of judgment or the need to censor their thoughts or experiences. She believes that finding a therapist you can genuinely relate to is an essential part of meaningful therapy.
A strong advocate for education and awareness, Abbey is committed to reducing stigma around mental health diagnosis and helping clients better understand how this diagnosis can present and how trauma can interplay with obsessive-compulsive symptoms. Abbey is excited to continue supporting clients as they move forward in their therapeutic journeys.
Outside of the therapy room, Abbey is an aerialist and enjoys a variety of fitness activities, including strength training and paddleboarding. She also loves reading and traveling and values experiences that foster growth, balance, and connection.
