Courtney Brothers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a graduate of the University at Albany. She has experience working with clients across the lifespan, from early childhood through older adulthood, and has supported individuals navigating a wide range of life challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, divorce, family stress, work stress, LGBTQ+ experiences, and veterans’ concerns.
While Courtney enjoys working with people of all ages, she finds working with children—particularly ages 5 to 12—especially meaningful. She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where children can express themselves, build confidence, and develop healthy coping skills.
Courtney believes that feeling comfortable with your therapist is one of the most important parts of the therapeutic process. She understands that starting therapy can feel overwhelming or intimidating, and she approaches each client with patience, compassion, and respect. Courtney is committed to moving at a pace that feels right for you so that you can feel safe sharing and get the most out of your time together.
Outside of her work, Courtney enjoys spending time with her daughter—coloring, singing, and dancing together. She also loves relaxing at home with her two cats, who are always nearby while she reads or catches up on television.
