Caitie Mahaney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who earned her master’s degree in Social Work from SUNY Albany. She has extensive experience working with children and adolescents. In addition to her work with children and families, Caitie has a special interest in supporting adults navigating infertility and pregnancy loss. Drawing from both professional experience and personal understanding, she offers compassionate support to individuals experiencing infertility, prenatal mental health challenges, postpartum anxiety and depression, and the complexities of parenting.
Caitie has found great success working with children who experience anxiety, as well as those navigating behavioral challenges such as anger and emotional regulation. She also works with children who have experienced trauma and with those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, and executive functioning difficulties. Caitie is passionate about helping children better understand themselves and how their brains work, believing that early intervention equips kids with coping strategies they can carry into adulthood. She is continually inspired by children’s resilience and their incredible capacity for growth and healing. Caitie incorporates play and creative arts to help young clients express themselves, build skills, and feel engaged in the therapeutic process. She also enjoys partnering closely with parents, helping them better understand their child’s needs and supporting them in creating meaningful change at home.
Outside of her professional role, Caitie considers being a mom her most important job. She has two boys who are her whole world, and she enjoys crafting, music, and finding creative ways to bring joy and connection into everyday life.
