Victoria Henderson is a Licensed Social Worker with many years of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and their caregivers. With her degrees in Sociology from SUNY Cortland and Master’s in Social Work from Long Island University-CW Post she has a passion for understanding diverse cultures and working with individuals of various backgrounds. She has previously worked with non-profit organizations serving many communities at mental health clinics, children’s mental health in-home programs, and various child welfare settings including preventive services and residential care.
Vicky has a deep understanding of trauma and how it can impact a survivor’s daily life. Trauma looks different to everyone and any adverse life experience or loss can impact us all in different ways. She strives to help her clients feel comfortable in their own skin and better manage their current crisis in order to achieve their goals. She also believes that providing support to the caregivers of children is essential in helping them to better care for themselves and their family.
Vicky is a strength-based, person-centered and family-driven clinician. She is delighted to be practicing at Victor Counseling Practice to provide mental health services to Henrietta and its surrounding communities. For self-care, Vicky enjoys being with her family, reading, drinking coffee and playing with her golden retriever.
