My name is Teresa Horton, LCSW. I am a graduate of Columbia University and have been working in the field of social work for a decade. My journey into this profession began when I witnessed my sister's struggle with a chronic illness during our childhood. The hospital social worker who assisted my sister and our family opened my eyes to the compassion needed in supporting families facing unforeseen challenges. From a young age, I knew I wanted to help others navigate difficult life experiences.
My experience has been focused on addressing the needs of clients dealing with anxiety, depression, postpartum issues, life transitions, and more. Specifically, supporting women during pregnancy, postpartum, and infertility has been particularly rewarding for me. In my practice, I provide continuous support to my clients as they face various life challenges. I focus on identifying and highlighting their strengths while also helping to pinpoint areas that could benefit from change.
