About Me

Jayne Silverman, LCSW, is a compassionate, dedicated clinician. She believes therapy should “begin where the client is” as she provides a supportive environment, free from judgment. Trust is a valuable part of Jayne’s sessions, allowing the clients to be the center of their journey. She uses a holistic approach, when appropriate, as well as other modalities, to help clients live their best lives.

Jayne spent several years working with clients struggling with addiction and is CASAC-certified. She offers a supportive space in her private practice for caretakers, family members, friends, and partners affected by addiction and substance abuse. Her experience and expertise in this field has given her a deep understanding of codependency. Jayne has worked with clients experiencing a variety of challenges. Women’s issues, self-image, self-empowerment, and sexual abuse victims are just some of the focuses she is skilled in working with. She enjoys working through relational issues, both individually and through couples’s counseling. Jayne offers a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community and those exploring their sexuality.

Jayne grew up in Massapequa Park, located in Long Island, NY. She has a deep connection to music, most specifically the Beatles, and plays the piano. Jayne places a strong value on family, especially her 2 sons and dogs, and is a big animal lover. She enjoys dark chocolate and the daily NY Times crossword puzzles.
